Paloma Faith Blomfield, as she entered this world, is one of the most stylish singers to have come to the fore in Britain in recent years, that style encompassing her vocal talent for soulful and jazzy renditions of songs some of which she has written herself, and in her quirky, almost cartoonish approach to fashion on stage. She trained first as a dancer, then in theatre direction, so she knows plenty about how to make an impact physically for an audience, and perhaps unsurprisingly has been chosen to act in films and on TV by directors including the rightly celebrated Terry Gilliam.
