Harold Shipman
- Favourite Briton.

Born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Born on 14th of January 1946
Died in Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Died on 13rd of January 2004

Harold Shipman was a GP, a pillar of the community in Hyde where he lived and practiced, and a mass murderer. He trained as a doctor at Leeds School of Medicine, then worked in Todmorden and eventually Hyde. Suspicions about him arose because of the number of his elderly women patients who died unexpectedly, and for whom he required cremation orders countersigning. A forged will finally led to his prosecution: found guilty of 15 murders, he is believed to have killed at least 200, the motives for his actions never explained. He hanged himself in prison.

Brit Quote:
Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals - George Orwell
