John Kemble

Born 1757. Died 1823 - English actor.
Eldest brother of Sarah Siddons. First appearance was at Wolverhampton (1776). Made London debut in 1783 as Hamlet at Drury Lane, continued playing leading tragic characters. Bought share in Covent Garden Theatre in 1902. Retired in 1817 and settled in Lausanne, Switzerland.
