Jackson though born in Liverpool is more associated with Leeds, where he co-founded The New Age with AR Orage, and similarly started The Leeds Arts Club. The Fabian Jackson was a prolific writer on literary and artistic topics, with books on Shaw, Edward Fitzgerald, and Morris. He also became one of the great bibliophiles of his time, with volumes on printing and reading among many others to his name.
