Began his musical association with Elton John in 1967. Taupin’s lyrics include the famous songs Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, Candle in the Wind and Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me. They have colloborated on over 30 albums. Has written for other artists including Starship, Heart and Alice Cooper. Won a Golden Globe Award for lyrics to the song A Love That Will Never Grow Old from the film Brokeback Mountain.
