Born 1948 - Rock and roll singer.

Born Michael Barrett. Began his career in the 1950s fronting the band Shakin’ Stevens and the Sunsets. Left the band in 1977 and had his first hit single with This ‘Ole House in 1981. Had number one hits with Green Door, Oh Julie and Merry Christmas Everyone. He quit recording in 1994 but continued to tour. Returned to the UK charts with his greatest hits album The Collection, which reached the UK top 5 in 2005.
