Became well known for her role as Dorothy in the sitcom Men Behaving Badly and playing Maddy Magellan in Jonathan Creek. Has appeared in Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Room 101, Have I Got News For You and the radio comedy series The Masterson Inheritance. Married Paul Merton in 1990 but separated in 1997. Has recently appeared in Blue Murder and Life Begins.
