Worked in a variety of jobs including that of a civil servant, barman and care officer before playing in clubs and bars countrywide. Best known as the creator of the comic drag character Lily Savage. Appeared on television on This Morning and The Big Breakfast and hosted the game show Blankety Blank. Presented the talk show, The Paul O’Grady Show.
