Born 1945 - English actor and producer.

Began his career as an actor appearing in Coronation Street as Gordon Clegg, The Liver Birds and The Villians. Best known as a successful theatrical producer of Blood Brothers and Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat. Other productions have included Whistle Down the Wind, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy and Tell Me On A Sunday. Awarded the CBE for his services to film and theatre in 2000. Was a judge in the television series Any Dream Will Do.
