Died on 20th of July 2007

Stage and Film actor.

Worked in coal mine and steelworks. Successful audition led to part in Oklohoma and subsequent stage success. In 1950s made breakthrough into television. Led the rendition of 'Men of Harlech' in the film 'Zulu'.
