Born 1966 – English football player and manager.

Spent his entire playing career at Arsenal, became their youngest ever captain at the age of 21. Won the League Cup in 1986-87, the First Division trophy in 1988-89 and 1990-91 and in 1992-93 he became the first player to captain his side to a League Cup and FA Cup double. Won the Euproean Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1993-94 season. Made his England debut in 1987, retired from international football in 2000. Moved into management after his playing career ended.
