Played for Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Lazio, Rangers, Middlesbrough and Everton. Made 57 appearances for England between 1988 and 1998 scoring 10 goals. Remembered for bursting into tears following a yellow card in the semi-final of the 1990 World Cup.
