Born 1945 - English rock and blues guitarist.
White exponent of black music particularly the blues. Began with The Yardbirds and Bluesbreakers before forming Cream. Overcame herion addiction recording 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974). Enjoyed successful career as solo artist. Awarded the OBE in 1995.
