Thomas Cavendish
Born in Ipswich, SuffolkBorn on 19th of September 1560
Died on 0st of May 1592
Born c1560. Died 1592 - English circumnavigator of the globe.
Took part in expedition to Virginia in 1585. Sailed with three ships in 1586 to Pacific Ocean, burning three Spanish towns and 13 ships. Returned via Cape of Good Hope to England. Knighted in 1588. During further expedition he died off Ascension Island in the south Atlantic Ocean.
