Born 1917 - died 2003 English poet and children's writer.
Naval war experiences influenced his early verse, Farewell Aggie Weston (1951). Collected Poems 1951-1975 were published in 1975 and Collected Poems for Children in 1995. Awarded CBE in 1986.
