Margaret Burbidge
Born on 0st of August 1919
Born 1919 - English astronomer.
Educated at University College, London. Moved to USA in 1951, appointed Professor of Astronomy at University of California (1964-90). Main field of research is in spectra of galaxies and quasars. Awarded National Medal of Science in 1984.
