Born 1957 - English ballet director.

After studying at the Royal Ballet School, he began his professional career as a choreographer with works such as The Outsider (1978) and The Swan of Tuonela (1982). He became resident choreographer at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre Ballet (1983-86) and resident choreographer and principal dancer at The Royal Ballet (1986-93). He became director of the Birmingham Royal Ballet in 1995.
