Oadby is a town in Leicestershire home to 55,790 people, with links into history as far back as the Iron Age. The town is famed for it’s Race Course and whether the winner is chosen or not, a good time is certain to be had. For the wonders of Mother Nature a visit to the Botanical Gardens at Leicester University, has hundreds of plants in delightful settings, or perhaps Cossington Meadows Nature Reserve will tempt on the River Soar, and home to many birds and insects such as Herons, Kingfishers and iridescent Dragonflies.
