Good Points: Convenient location, staff courteous
Bad Points: room very small, only terrestrial TV channels, bed un-comfortable, 'continental breakfast' poor - no option for full breakfast. Not clear prior to booking that no 'smoking rooms' were available (Non-smoking policy)
General review: not really satisfied but you get what you pay for

Good Points: Very friendly staff
Bad Points: The bedroom was a bit tired looking
General review: The hotel was fine for a one night stay. The bedroom and bathroom could do with a makeover but the room was clean. The staff were excellent efficient and friendly. The breakfast was very good with coffee and tea top ups being offered. In fairness the price was very reasonable, and you do get what you pay for, but I would have preffered to pay a bit more for more modern facilities

I was very impressed with this hotel. It was located close to the city centre, the staff were very welcoming and helpful and the hotel, bar and food were to a good standard. I would definately stay in this hotel if i visited Newcastle again!

Good Points: cheap, friendly staff, excellent vegetarian breakfast
Bad Points: had to ask for toilet tissue! Bedside light didn't work, but didn't bother to mention it.
General review: nice people. couple of fairly minor issues, as above.

General Review: The hotel is okay but it really would benefit from fresh decoration. I would only stay for one or two night maximum. Staff are friendly and helpful

Good Points: The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness.
Bad Points: Some areas of the room needed some attention and if supplying lamps bulbs should be in them.
General Review: The information provided before going was good and accurate although more details about the restaurant facilities would have meant we could have eaten on arrival and not had to do so before. The staff were friendly and overall it was a pleasant stay. The staff offered assisstance when asked in a very friendly manner. The breakfast was very good with a good service.

Excellent chef. General cleanliness.
Decor was very dated and furniture in the rooms was poor quality
The standard of decor was off putting on arrival but the friendly, helpful staff soon made up for this shortcoming. The food was excellent at all times and although we were prepared to eat out in the evenings, once we saw the varied menu for the evening meal, we ate in twice and thoroughly enjoyed the food and excellent service. All staff were polite and helpful.
