The Hampshire is now under new ownership. Gary Webster and his team are dedicated to making your visit into a culinary delight you won't forget and will want to repeat. I had the salmon which was on a bed of potato and cabbage, I have no idea what the hidden ingredient was but my meal was tasty, well prepared and just scrumptious!!!! As for dessert, I dare not think about it without a napkin to wipe my mouth. Chocolate brownie pudding which oozed and melted and was mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. The prices were very reasonable. Also that night they were doing two currys and entry to the quiz for ten pounds. As I looked around you could see the other diners thoroughly enjoying their meals. Well done Gary absolutely fab!!

Went for dinner the food was awful the menu VERY LIMITED and the attitude of the manager when my husband was paying for the meal abusive. This has been a lovely restaurant for many years but it is now definitely not worth visiting. The manager said at 9.40 when we wre leaving and the restaurant was left with 4 people, that Crondall was dead anyway! I wonder what the Plume and Feathers was like at that time? DON'T GO AT THE MOMENT. It is a wonderful site and has been a great restaurant with a good ambience, maybe it will happen again, but not with this man running it.
