the food is microwaved and over priced, the beer is over-priced (£3.10 a pint!!) the atmosphere is unpleasant (nervous staff, intimidating landlady who seems to strut about the place with a sour face) it's generally a very uninviting and cold pub without a soul, which is such a shame because the blue bell used to be a wonderful pub. i thought it would do well with sally ann as the chef, but she was sacked without a good reason like most of the new landladys staff. the people who own it now are southern cowboys without any clue whatsoever how to run a pub..not worth mine or your time IMO.

The pub has recently changed hands the new landord Stuart is working extremely hard to make the pub a going concern and bringing in new customers. The home cooked food is excellant particularly the fish and chips on a friday. The blue bell also has themed evenings such as a curry night and steak nights.
If you visit you are sure to receive a warm welocome
The only downside is the pub interior could do with a bit of a spruce up but I'm sure that if the pub continues to be a success this will be rectified
