Looks prtetty and very traditional Pub. An empty car park on a Saturday evening and absence of clientelle should have rung the alarm bells! A welcoming landlord but the pub was cold and lacked any attmosphere. Food very disapointing - took a long time to arrive and steaks were dry and over clooked. Two shandy's were pretty much lemonade with a dash of lager but the ale was fine. when we left at around 8.30pm only three locals in the pub. If you want a quiet drink in a traditional and quite pub - fine, but maybe best to avoid if you want to eat or enjoy any ambiance!

Appeared to be a nice village pub in the middle of Challock Village. Seemed like a nice place to pass through & stop off. How wrong I was. After waiting over 10 minutes to be acknowledged (it wasn't busy) I ordered a pint of bitter. Cloudy, is an understatement. When I queried the quality, I was met with "attitude", and the pint was changed. Not much better, so I left it & went onwards. I sincerely hope the landlord reads this. Clean your pipes & treat your customers with respect. It costs little & may even help your business. Until then, I recommend people drive on by.
