Have visited several times as a golf society booking and the food has always been very good as has the service. Have visited just with husband for our anniversary and the food was excellent. Cod Mornay i can honestly say is the best fish dish i have ever eaten, it was absolutely gorgeous. My husband got the last steak and kidney pie and said no wonder it had sold out as that too was first class. Shouldn't forget to mention the mashed potato and veg which were all cooked perfectly. Thoroughly recommended!

Clean pub with tables inside and out all served by one waitress who does everything including taking money. Visited three times for lunch. On each occasion drinks were served immediately and food order taken. On the first visit waiting time was reasonable, the second time after 35 minutes wait a diabetic member of our party had to ask for something to eat- a roll& butter was given to him. Twenty minutes later our food arrived. On the third occasion we waited an hour and ten minutes for our food, other people were complaining and some left. The food, when we eventually got it, was of a good standard. The pub is let down by its service.
