I have made several visits and tried both mid week evenings and Sunday lunch.
The menu is imaginative with some traditional dishes. Excellent friendly service,beautifully presented delicious meals, good value, highly recommended.

just to correct mr wilkins the other pub in great longstone THE CRISPIN INN serves an excellent sunday lunch !

A very welcoming establishment,where we enjoyed freshly cooked Pork & Beef dinners & sweets with exceptionally good value.
We had earlier tried without success to find a more traditional Sunday Lunch in several neighbouring villages such as Ashford (The Bull) & Little Longstone.
The other pub in Great Longstone didn't seem to do Sunday lunches.
The waitress service was exceptionally friendly & attentive & we even had a chat with the Chef after our meals who wanted to ensure we were satisfied !
Heartily recommended.
