I have visited this pub on many occasions and invariably have had excellent meals. The food is always superb and varied, the staff pleasant and polite and the ambience just right. Access to the premises is good,(1 min from J29 of the M1, just off the A6175 in Heath vilage). As far as I am concerned there is NO competition in the area that can offer such excellent food and refresments (and I have tried many of the so-called 'good' pubs). I would thoroughly recommend The Elm Tree to anyone - in fact, I did recommend it to an older couple from the Leeds area who now travel down twice a month just to dine there! I am so satisfied with the place that I have just booked a table for the weekend with my other half and a business asociate.

Don't listen to the t....er who wrote the last review. The food here is excellent, service fantastic, its always busy so has a good atmosphere, I usally have lamb which is always delicious. The fact you have to book a table well in advance should tell you this place is great. I'm going on Wednesday and can't wait.

A very overrated venue--prices too high for basic tables with minimal cutlery etc. Service mediocre--we had to ask for replacement cutlery after the main course was served However the food was very good and with a little bit more attention to detail it could have been rated as excellent
