My wife and I visited the Queens Head following recommendations in the guest book of the B&B we were staying.
My wife is a vegetarian so was pleasantly surprised by the enormous choice on offer, 5 different main courses. She choose a stilton peppered pie with organic potatoes which she said was delicious and I went for a seafood stew which again was fantastic.
A wonderful selection of home-made desserts, organic coffee and even cakes and jams to take home.
Friendly service and a well mannered group of locals at the bar.
Highly recommended.

This was our first visit to the queens head and although the food was of a reasonable standard we were not impressed with the staff attitude or the ambiance of the restaurant. The place was very cold - cold enough to require a coat while sitting at the table. The seating was hard and uncomfortable. When we asked about the heating we were told that as lunch was almost over it was not worth putting another log on the fire.
As retired Hoteliers we were disappointed
