Looks quaint, quirky interior etc. Serious lack of welcome and customer service. When my 77yr old mother asked to use the loo, she was told by the landlady to 'hurry up as I'm supposed to be closed'. The 'Black Sheep' beer tasted like soap and was poured onto the grass by my husband. No chance to mention it as the premises was being locked up as the landlady stubbed out her fag....

My husband and two friends of ours Norma and Graham Cockburn go to Black Bull at least twice a month due to the excellent food by the chef Stevie and co Stevie is a diamond and very gifted at his work. We eat out at least twice a week at many venues and Black Bull is our number one place, the`staff are friendly, the wine divine but as already stated the food is top notch and plentiful.

Karen and Steph made my visit warm. Wonderfully clean and bright with a charming atmosphere. I look forward to returning next year for some fish and chips. Thanks Karen. Best wishes, The Yoyoman
