Thanks to Rossendale Online and the Farmer’s Glory for the prize of lunch for two in the recent competition. We went there recently; I’d recommend giving the place a try if you haven’t been already. I haven’t been in the pub before, it’s extremely tastefully a real log fire and the food is fabulous. Virtually everything is made from fresh ingredients so Andy’s has to work very hard in the kitchen and Terri makes a wonderful hostess. The house red wine is very fine, we heartily recommend it. I had the fish and chips which was very good. And not just ordinary fish and chips let me tell you, the fish was that large that it needed to be folded to cook it! It tasted very fresh and he chips were proper home made - thick cut and crispy and served with side salad and tartar sauce. My wife had Cumberland sausage and mash with deep red brown rich onion gravy. I sampled that too, it was equally nice. For dessert we had toffee apple brioche, a kind of apple based bread and butter pudding with cream – this was exceptionally good, all rounded off with fresh coffee. The lunch menu is mouth watering; the evening menu looks even more spectacular. Apparently word is getting round – they had a full house on Saturday night and had to turn fourteen punters away! The pub is on Roundhill Rd, Haslingden, Rossendale, Lancashire, BB4 5TU. Highly recommended, rest assured that we’ll be back to try the evening menu soon. Big thanks again to Andy and Terri x

Put a pin in the map and met up with our family at Farmers Glory for a Saturday lunch. We had a warm welcome, beautifully prepared food from a super menu and lovely coffee to finish. The pub was clean, light, bright and tastefully decorated.I would thoroughly recommend Farmers Glory and look forward to eating there again.
