We came to eat at The church Inn on Tuesday, we haven't been for years and had heard some worrying rumours... I would like to set the record straight that The Church is not only as good as ever but BETTER! The food is exceptional. We had mussels to start and steak, all cooked to perfection. The wine list is extraodinary large for a pub/restaurant of its size and the restaurant manager really seemed to know what to recommend. We had a lovely evening and can't wait to come back soon!

This is one of our favourite places to eat and we are going again tomorrow. The food is reasonable priced and of excellent quality. The staff are so helpful and friendly . We take lots of our visitors there.

I went to the church inn yesterday with 5 girl friends for a meal. We all had the set menu which we found to be excellent value for money and lovely food. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good selection of wines by bottle and glass. Highly recommend it

Decided to give this a try has have heard food is great. We were rather disappointed. Starters very average and bland, husband's fish, chips and mushy peas were no better than a chippy but a double the price. I had sea bass and the taste was ok but presentation wasn't too good, it came with a timbale of white boiled rice. The COST was outrageous just a few pence short of £60 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 pints and 2 glasses of wine. After all it's only a pub meal!

This is now our 3rd visit to this restuarant and each visit has been very good. In total we have had 5 diferent dishes and no complaints about any of them. One slight criticism, if the sweets are not bought in, then they certainly give that impression. Beer is excellent ad well kept.

Been coming to Church Inn for years. Unfortunately in the past year had 2 poor quality meals. Went for Sunday roast in May and got frozen roast potatoes.I knew this as mine were still frozen in middle. Went 3/11/08 had nice starter then red mullet for main which was like rubber. The bread and butter pudding was dry and heavy. Didn't complain just won't go again. The quality of food and standards have declined, such a shame as their is so much competition around.

The food here is always fresh, beautifully served and top quality. It also is great value for money. To experience how busy it is is a statement of its quality and popularity. The food isn't fussy but is the product of an inspired chef. There are so many dishes all of which are freshly cooked. Portions generous and company super. Fell i shouldn't broadcast this as I will be unable to book if i am not careful, due to even greater popularity.
