The most fantastic fish & chip restaurant ever. Highly recommended. May have to wait if busy as you can not book. But worth the wait.
Definately going back.

We visit South Devon about 3 times a year and have done so for around 10 years and would never dream of visiting without having a meal at the Start Bay Inn because we absolutely love it. It has everything to offer and the best fish and chips ever. The location itself is unspoilt and glorious and when approaching it you can look down (or back if you're leaving) and you will see one of the best coastlines there is - if the sun is shining its a bonus because the sea will be like a blue sapphire and the sand the colour of the finest gold.
The downside if there has to be one is that it gets very busy during peak season and you have to be patient in getting served and then finding a table - the staff work very hard but they're always pleasant and obliging and I could rave on about it for a long long time.

We visited every night for the 5 days the food was First class and reasonably priced we would highly recomend.
