A fully authentic counrty Inn. Three main areas, each with their own real fire, adding to the warm welcome extended by the excellent landlord and friendly staff. The beers, food and rooms were all to a high standard and the dog was welcomed by the local humans and dogs alike. Highly Reccommended!

A lovely atmosphere and good beer. Great to be able to bring our dog in too! A must for walkers in the area.

What a lovely place! After a hike over the hills myself, my partner Bri & our dog, (Mizzy the Mutty Dog) repaired for a pint. Not only dog friendly, but human friendly too! Staff were really great. Very acceptable beer & nice food, good company & a historic & fascinating interior. Would have no hesitation in recommending it to all, except very posh dog-haters! Enjoy.
