What a fantastic camp site!! So good to get a site that does have a play area for children, but it is away from the general area of the campers! My husband and i and our adult daughter and her partner plus their golden retriever had the pleasure of staying here last week. Showers were spotless, even at the busiest times! Well done to the wardens who were even in there at 11pm to make sure that they were nice and clean in readiness for the morning rush. We had an issue with our towing electrics and John, one of the wardens, couldn't have been more helpful, bringing his tools to help sort it out!! Also Jackie and Nicki where fantastic!! These ladies look after the bookings and deal with the guests, and what a great job they do!! Some people will complain if they pitched up at Buckingham Palace!! The pitches are great, lots of trees and proper grass, not all hardstandings and car parks for your cars! They allow you to park at the side of your tent or caravan. If i had to mark out of 10......then i would give them a 12!! Well done pear tree farm for doing a brilliant job and for allowing us a lovely, carefree holiday on a beautiful site!! See you next year- the Walker family.

My family and I have just had 10 days holiday, (19 – 29 July 2009), at Pear Tree Caravan Touring Park at Holton Heath, Poole Dorset. The site was nice, quiet and peaceful, the toilets and showers were very clean and tidy. Jackie, Dave and the staff were very friendly and helpful, Dave even went out of his way to assist us in repairing a water leak that we had 2 days into our holiday, (thanks Dave). We would highly recommend the site and we will go again

from the very beginning when making a phone call to book the campsite the person on the other end was not friendly and to a [point rude.I had to phone up to change my reservation to say I would come one day later,I had to give a specific time because the people on reception might have been having their lunch or tea. This was the theme for the rest of the few days we were there, organising our visits to reception in between their meals. We had other people arriving the following day and all the people were worried about were when they were getting the money for the extra people staying. There were so many rules and regulation it was like being in prison,I understand there have to be certain rules but I would like to go to the toilet and have a shower when I like and not be told,I want to enjoy my break.

What a gem of a campsite. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We had a lovely pitch under the oak trees (which was noisy when it rained, but didn't bother us). We thought the campsite was well run, yes there are rules - but we didn't find them a problem, it is nice to find a site where you are not overrun with windbreaks and other peoples washing. Only the main shower block was open the week we visited (off-peak) and they were fine. There is a laundry room next door and the washing up facilities are just round the corner. I think we only had to wait once to wash up, but I hate to think how 2 sinks cope with all the people in peak season (unless there were other sinks we didn't see). It was a lovely quiet site, the children's playpark was great with lots of things for the kids to play on for all ages (which is great for us). The people onsite were lovely and friendly and we met some lovely families with similar young children. We felt confident enough to let the children play around our row without being with them all the time - even our 3yr old. We did have to watch the time with the icepacks at the shop- most days one of us was running to get there with a minute to go! But we found the staff helpful and polite and had no problems with them. It's ideally situated with easy and quick access to Poole, Bournemouth and to Corfe and Weymouth. All in all, a lovely holiday, very green, quiet safe site- we will definitely be coming back again and have already recommended it to many friends with tents!

We stayed at Pear Tree during August 2005. The welcome by the owners was very friendly and welcoming, with lots of suggestions for things to do locally. The views from our pitch were beautiful and the loos were always very clean. There is a massively large play park for kids at one end of the site which kept them more than busy while we struggled with the tent! The people who run the site wander round in the evening and did ask a few to quiten down after 10.30 in the evening. We love the peach and quite and will definately be returning even though the site was very busy in August.
