Croughton, Northamptonshire

Review of Croughton by Mike and Kathy Berna on January 3rd, 2008
Lived in your beautiful village for 4 years (1967-1971) and will always remember it with great affection. Two of our three children were born while we lived in "The Red Cottage" on High St. All residents were very friendly to us Yanks, and we will never forget, especially Basil and Jean Coles who became our extended family. We try to remain as current as we can by reading the Croughton newsletter. I cannot believe how our tiny village has grown up in last 35-40 years. When we lived there it seemed as if everything had been unchanged for a hundred years. I remember well the "Blackbird" and "White Horse" watering holes and the family atmosphere in both of them. A far cry from the attitudes in our bars. Thanks for all the memories, Croughton Village.
