Winkfield
Winkfield is a charming village in Berkshire close to Ascot and Windsor. The unusual church of St Mary houses many a treasure, with Wooden Pillars in the centre of the aisle a gift from Elizabeth 1, Opposite the church is the 17th Century White Hart Inn which was once the courthouse, and is said to have had the pleasure of ’Judge Jefferies’ presiding over several judgements. Or perhaps a visit to an historic Deer Park with several lakes and a castle inhabited by royalty, well Windsor Great Park, is just the place. Winkfield and surrounding area weaves her magic endlessly.
