"Olde Worlde" 17th Century Hotel, where there is always a warm and friendly welcome, We serve freshly prepared quality food in our dining room or informally you may dine overlooking the architectural delights of the market place. The history of the black swan hotel dates back prior to 1600, once being part of a lavish network of tunnels underneath the town. The hotel is reputed to have been owned by alleged highwayman Ambrose Saintsbury and is set in the market place where the gallows once stood. There are many books available, locally written, about the history of The Black Swan Hotel and Devizes itself. We are on the doorstep of many world heritage sites, the main being StoneHenge.All our rooms have ensuite facilities, tea/coffee, complimentary tray, trouser press wifi access, tv freeview.
