Evenwood Cottage is the home of Margaret Oram who, on reaching retirement decided to fulfill her long-standing ambition to host a bed and breakfast establishment. Margaret offers comfortable accommodation in a traditional Northumbrian cottage in the peaceful village of Ovington.

The cottage is easily found one mile south off the A69 dual carriageway, midway between Newcastle and Hexham. Hadrians Wall is 3 miles to the north and other main attractions of the area within easy reach on the excellent road network.

On offer are 2 spacious bedrooms comprising of a twin room with private bathroom and a double room with en-suite. The rooms are well equipped with a TV, themostatically controlled radiators, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities etc. Sorry but smoking is not permitted. Chilldren are welcome.

Margaret has an extensive breakfast menu using local farm produce. For your evening meal there are a variety of restaurants in the nearby villages to suit most tastes. Winships the village pub/restaurant is within easy walking distance and is an excellent choice for an enjoyable evening.
