Nearby attractions include Beamish Museum, Alnwick Castle and Garden and railway pioneer George Stephenson’s cottage (Puffing Billy was an early steam engine) The vibrant, historic city of Newcastle upon Tyne is a short distance away and has museums, galleries as well as legendary night life and shopping.
