Green Gables Guest House, 3 star accredited, is a family owned and run guest house in Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District. We offer excellent value bed and breakfast holiday accommodation for visitors to Cumbria. Windermere is easy to get to by train, coach or car and is one of the friendliest areas to holiday in Cumbria - an ideal area for that weekend break. Our welcoming bed and breakfast holiday accommodation has seen many guests return to Windermere year after year.

We are ideally placed for places like Hawkshead, Kendal, Grassmere and Beatrix Potter. We can offer secure cycle stowage and welcome walkers also. Parking is in a pay and display car park across the road and this is FREE overnight. We are located about 5 minutes from the train station.

At Green Gables Guest House we aim to help to make your visit to Windermere and the Lake District as special as possible. If you are with us for one night or a weekend break we will work hard to make sure you feel right at home. We offer information on a wide range of pubs, restaurants, attractions and activities across Cumbria. We can even help visitors plan their stay well in advance of their visit.
