The Sunningdale Hotel is situated in the centre of the beautiful Coastal village of Bamburgh, and is just five minutes walk from Bamburgh Castle, often considered the most magnificent castle in England.

The historic village of Bamburgh is an ideal coastal retreat in the centre of the Northumberland National Park. As well as offering a stunning beach for family holidays and dog friendly holidays, Bamburgh is ideally situated for visitors to enjoy the market town of Alnwick, with Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden, the nearby fishing town of Seahouses with boat trips to The Farne Islands, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne with Lindisfarne Castle, as well as many other beautiful villages from Alnmouth to Craster, inland to Wooler and up to the historic town of Berwick upon Tweed. An ideal area for walking holidays, Bamburgh is a popular central location for people exploring St Cuthberts Way, cycling the national cycle routes, exploring the historic houses and Northumbrian Castles or simply relaxing on the beach.

The Sunningdale is a small family run hotel with double rooms, single rooms, twin rooms and family rooms, offering bed and breakfast accommodation as well as short breaks and dinner bed and breakfast deals at certain times throughout the year. We have a superb restaurant in the hotel offering excellent quality food. We offer child friendly holidays and we are also one of Bamburgh Villageís few dog friendly hotels, so you can bring the whole family!
