Polochar Inn is situated on the southerly tip of South Uist, on the waters edge overlooking Barra and Eriskay. This traditional inn specialises in locally caught seafood. The location is peaceful and picturesque and ideal for the ferry ports of Lochboisdale and Eriskay. The airport is approx 45 minutes by car and the North Uist, Berneray ferry terminals are approx 1 hrs drive.Askernish Golf course is 5 miles away. An ideal base for exploring from the Butt of Lewis to Barra. Dolphins and Otters are frequently spotted and the unique sound of the corncrake is never far away. Rooms are all en-suite, well furnished and equipped. (Given the age of the Inn, the rooms tend mainly to be on the smaller side of average).Wi-fi in all rooms.
