The minute you enter The Beatles Story you begin to live and breathe the whole 60s experience. Your magical history tour takes you on a stroll through the cobbled streets of Hamburg, where you hear the muffled strains of beat music coming from the nearby nightspot. It's the teenage Beatles during one of their wild nights at the Star Club. Turn the corner and you find yourself in Mathew Street, home of the famous Cavern Club. It's 1962, the Cavern is dark and dank, but the atmosphere is electric. As you take your seats near the tiny stage, the opening chords of 'Twist and Shout' ring out.

Continue your journey and suddenly, right in front of you…hundreds of screaming, sobbing, hysterical fans desperate for a glimpse of their favourite Beatle. It's the height of Beatlemania and the pop world has gone crazy over the four lads from Liverpool.

Move on and the world becomes more colourful, the music is dreamlike…it's 1967 and 'flower power' & 'Pepper' has influenced a whole 'new generation'.

The 'White Room' a poignant dedication to John Lennon is not to be missed, also see 'Life through the lenses of Lennon' an emotional and evocative new display. George Harrison's first ever guitar is also a new addition to the exhibition. There is much, much more which only a visit will reveal.

This spectacular walk through experience is situated in the basement vaults of the Britannia Pavilion in the award winning Albert Dock.
