Good Points: The room was clean, light and airy and for the most part the facilities were good. The daily cleaning and towel changing (as requested) was excellent. Bad Points: The vent axia in the bathroom was very noisy and one of the matresses was very soft and unsupportive/uncomfortable. Noise from the room above was often excessive early morning and during the evening however, this may just have been due to a noisey occupant above or poor soundproofing. General Review: Despite some of my comments above, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Laurels Hotel which is a welcoming and homely place to stay and we would certainly return. There does appear to be a case for updating/refurbishing especially in our bedroom/bathroom but this was more than compensated for by the hardworking, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff whom we could not fault. We stayed on half board basis and found the food choices, portions and standard to be excellent and the staff in the dining room and bar were very friendly, diligent efficient and caring. The general areas of the hotel were all clean tidy and comfortable and the overall ambience was, despite being near a main road similar to a country house hotel.

Bad Points: Decor was a little outdated and could have done with 'freshening up' to improve the ambience of the hotel. General Review: - Great to have the hire car as we'd have been stuck without it (included in the price) - Friendly and helpful staff - Accomodation ok but in need of freshening up tired decor.

Good Points: Clean and comfortable. Bad Points: Breakfast was always rather greasy- put us off trying the evening meal. Some areas need refurbishing. Thought the price we paid was a littel excessive, General Review: Good location with car parking. Staff were quite accomodating. No complaints about the bedroom or cleanliness. Photograph doesn't show the close proximity to a busy road.

Good Points: spacious, clean , quiet Bad Points: everything good General Review: From web and brochure we collected all the information we required and was to our expectation. The hotel was situated in a pleasant quiet area with parking facilities. The beach and town were only a short walk. The room was very spacious and to a good standard and kept very clean. The breakfasts were well presented and plentiful. A fair selection of evening meals was offered and were well presented on hot plates by very friendly staff.

Good Points: My room was well tended and peaceful - overlooking what I assume was a sort of Japanese garden. Bad Points: No radio that worked! General Review: I was reasonably happy with my stay. Please put a radio in the rooms, as well as some crispy biscuits.
