BOOK HUYTON HOTELS

Joey Barton
- Favourite Briton.

Born in Huyton, Merseyside
Born on 2nd of September 1982
Died in 000

Joey Barton has played senior football for Manchester City, Newcastle, QPR, and Marseille (the latter in a loan spell), and made one appearance for England. His life beyond the football pitch is perhaps more interesting than this play – famously combative, with plenty of red and yellow cards on his record, along with three FA charges for violent conduct. Barton has served time in prison for common assault and affray, but he has also shown rather more signs of intelligent life than the average footballer, appearing on Question Time, actively backing various charities, and gaining a large Twitter following for comments that show an apparent interest in philosophy, history and the arts.
