Born 1918. Died 1985 - Strip cartoonist.

Studied art at Southport. Designed his first strip for the Post Office staff magazine in 1937. Designed a Christian comic boys which became Eagle; contained his two page weekly serial Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future. Voted Prestigioso Maestro at a convention of strip cartoon and animated film artists held in Tuscany in 1975. Died of a stroke in Surrey.
