Glendower house is a Victorian 5 bed/3 reception roomed house with large gardens. Situated immediately off the town centre it provides easy and convenient access to all local shops and facilities including numerous pubs and restaurants. Dereham is smack in the centre of Norfolk so getting to Norwich, the Broads, or any part of the Norfolk coastline is just a short drive away. Many attractions and entertainment facilities are located close by so whatever the weather you'll have plenty of options. At the very heart of Norfolk, Glendower House is your ideal destination to explore all the wonderful things Norfolk has to offer. Glendower House was built on the site of Barnyards Mill over 100 years ago and has been home to wealthy merchants and traders. The name Glendower is folk lore in Wales where Owen Glendower sought to make Wales the dominant force in the United Kingdom. Owen Glendower, with the help of the French challenged the English who lay siege to the Welsh army who eventually retreated. Owen Glendower disappeared, and his fate is still a mystery today. Glendower house is on Commercial Road which is a continuation of Cowper Road. William Cowper is one of East Derehamメs most famous sons and it was a relative of William Cowper who wrote a novel all about Owen Glendower - that is one explanation as to how the house got its name.
