B and Bs in Callington
Cadson was well and truly established by the time Charles I and his troops crossed the Bridge over the River Lynher in 1643, fresh from victory at the Battle of Braddock Down. Today the entrance to Cadson leads to the imposing house, which has been lived in and improved over the years, and now presents a Georgian face to the world. Inside, the accommodation is spacious and welcoming and gas central heating and electric showers provide comforts that would have amazed owners from the distant past. The view down the valley is over meadows grazed by sheep and horses, and the Manor's fishing lake. For the keen - or even not so keen - fisherman our 2-acre lake is stocked with mirror and common carp, tench, bream, gudgeon and roach. The view also encompasses Cadson Bury, an iron age hill fort owned by the National Trust. A large picnic area is available nearby for your use. If you feel our distinctive accommodation is just what you are searching for, please telephone, e-mail or complete our online form to make your enquiry.
