Motorway (M9, M90, M80) connections are within 15 miles. The new railway opened in 2008 gives easy access to Stirling and onwards to Edinburgh in Glasgow in under one hour. There is a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities available nearby: sight-seeing in historic Stirling, a multitude of golf courses (including St Andrew's and Gleneagles), fishing, hill-walking, bird-watching and shopping for bargains in the "Sterling Mills Designer Outlet Village", located in Tillicoultry.
