Beautiful Carsington Lake is just 2 miles away and affords opportunities for learning to sail, canoe or windsurf, together with excellent fishing, cycle hire and an adventure playground. The visitor centre has restaurant and shops and there is excellent local walking directly to the circular lakeside path. Matlock's Heights of Abraham Cable Cars are 6 miles. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Sudbury Hall are within 12 miles. Alton Towers 20 miles. Shop and renowned 'Real Ale' pub 1 mile.
