Tucked away in one of Northumberland's prettiest villages, this charming, ground floor, cosy cottage (shown right of left photograph) is just a few hundred yards from shops, inns and a beautiful river walk. Steeped in history, the area boasts a wealth of ancient castles and interesting houses – the National Trust's Cragside House sits half a mile away on a bare and rugged hillside above Rothbury, whilst Alnwick and its majestic castle are just 12 miles. Wonderful walking, golf, riding and fishing can all be enjoyed locally. Northumberland's lovely beaches are within easy reach as are the National Park, the Scottish borders and Newcastle's Metro Centre.
