The property is spacious and light with fine furnishings and beautiful fabrics. The restaurant is a revelation. Head Chef Charles Lakin's seasonally inspired and locally sourced menus are as fresh as they are imaginative; and the elegant 21st century styling is exceptional.All of our rooms have queen sized pocket sprung beds swathed in the finest cotton. Sumptuous fabrics dress windows and chairs. And an eclectic collection of art completes the mood; the mix and the personality that makes this place unique. We are situated close to the Channel Port of Dover; Folkestone's Channel Tunnel and Canterbury; the Marquis restaurant and hotel stands in the picturesque village of Alkham at the Southern end of the Kent Downs.
